South Seas Island Resort is a gem right here. Catering to couples, families, and even large groups, this island resort has something for everyone. I highly recommend that you visit this unique and beautiful island at least once in your life. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.
South Seas Island Resort is absolutely enormous and there are many different accommodation options. We were staying in a two bedroom Marina Villa, which is about 5 minutes walk to the beach, restaurants and main pool.
The villa has two separate bedrooms, bathroom, living room with sofa bed, dining area and kitchen. Best of all there’s a nice balcony to relax on. We had a view of the harbour from our room.
There are three heated pools–each better than the last–culminating in a tropical infinity pool-type situation looking out over the Gulf. At South Seas Island Resort. , the most stressful decision of the day is to go to the pool or to the beach. Not a bad situation.
They arrange a variety of water sports like paddle boards, kayaks, banana boat rides and wave runners. Golf carts and bikes are available for rent and there is a shuttle for resort guests. But their most essential inventory to rent is a golf cart. Seriously, your vacation experience is completely different without one.
If you’re going to run into the sunrise or sunset hand and hand, South Seas Island Resort’s beach is the place to do it!
South Seas Island Resort. offers several restaurants onsite. Captiva is super casual, so it still feels like the casual dining room at a country club. The Pointe is the most popular lunch option, as it is located next to the main pool complex. The menu is pretty standard pool fare: salads, tacos, sandwiches, and burgers. The food was great and the views were better.
Attitudes Beach Bar and Latitudes Snack Shack: Located steps above Sunset Beach, serves drinks, small bites, wraps and more, allowing you to stay at the beach all day. In the evening there are games, a fire pit, and nightly entertainment served up here as well.
There are daily options for boarding the Lady Chadwick to see dolphins and wildlife or catch a sunset. It was a great way to spend the afternoon. When dolphins approach, passengers are instructed to make lots of noise, which piques the curiosity of the dolphin to follow and jump after the boat.
