JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District

Savannah, Georgia is one of the most beautiful, elegant towns i’ve ever seen, and one of the most historically important places in the United States. But underneath all that genteel beauty and historical importance lies a fascinating web of stories, myths, and legends and that nuanced, complex dichotomy is what makes Savannah absolutely enchanting.

Have you ever fallen head over heels in love with a place? As travelers and storytellers, that feeling is what we live for. We fell for JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District. 

Staying at JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District puts you at the heart of the action and is walking distance from anywhere in town you want to be. This place is huge. Like colossal. Fitting that there are dinosaur replicas towering over the lobby that leads straight through the building. The place was a fossil fuel plant and plays to this theme in the decor. The size complements it. It feels like it could be a museum masquerading as a hotel.

The layout of the suites was absolutely beautiful. I fell in love immediately with the decor. The bathrooms were luxurious with bathrobes, toiletries, as well as a hairdryer.

I had l suite with gorgeous river views. This is the room to book! The glow of sunrise coming off the river and in through the chain-link curtains was pretty magical, I have to say.

The grounds are beautiful and it offers so many restaurants, bars and live music options. This is where the hotel is hoping to shine. This collection of restaurants is designed to bring in locals and help revive the already emerging riverfront as a place to be in the city. My favorites:

-Electric Moon, a high-energy rooftop bar with picturesque views from deck to terrace

-Savannah Tequila Co. is a tequila bar with a modern take on Mexican cuisine.

 The JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District is not only Savannah’s most luxurious hotel but a vibrant entertainment destination and inspiring experience. From incredible dining to high-end shopping and live music, they create elegantly curated experiences, stripping away the unnecessary to reveal the exceptional. 

The overall experience was spectacular! There is so much to see and experience that I left knowing I would return soon.
